Uniquely Constructed

Today I want to share some thoughts on what it really means to be Uniquely Constructed. This is the name that was chosen for my blog, and I have mentioned before that my daughter, Kaitlyn, helped me pick the name when this idea first starting becoming a reality. We went back and forth on a ton of different options and when she came up with this title, we both agreed that it incorporated the identity I already had as a business owner and the identity that God himself purposed for me to be, and so it began.

In the last several months, I created a Facebook and Instagram page for Uniquely Constructed and I have actually used those platforms more than the blog so far, mostly because it is quicker and easier to share things. During this time, I have felt the Lord leading me to new ideas for this name and I believe He intended it to be much more important than I originally thought. At first it was just a necessary thing I had to have for a blog title and website in order to begin. However, now I know it was more than that, it’s going to be a part of new things God wants to show me in His word that pertain to this name, and that I am meant to share it with others.

One thing stands true, every single person who reads this post or that has ever existed on planet Earth was Uniquely Constructed by the God of the Universe, and not even two of us are exactly alike. We all have probably heard that said at some point in our lives, but God has been showing me that it is more amazing than our minds really ever conceive.

Every single one of us has taken a different journey from the moment we were born and through every twist and turn our lives have taken. Not one of us have experienced the exact same things, or followed the exact same path, so it just makes sense that we are different. We think differently, we process life events differently, we love differently and we hurt differently.

Our journey plays a very important part in shaping us into who we are today, and that is what God has laid on my heart to share and what He has made so vividly real to me. The realization that no other single individual has lived our life, walked in our shoes, or experienced what we have experienced. No one person knows everything about us. No one can judge us or tell us how or why we think and feel like we do. We were Uniquely Constructed to be different and know that it is part of God’s plan. Every single event, no matter how big or how small, influences who we are deep inside our souls.

The journey itself creates the way we tend to think and it also greatly influences the choices we make as we go through our lives. The journey becomes a major part of our identity, and every journey is different. Our individual journeys are part of God’s plan to prepare us for the exact purpose he, himself Uniquely Constructed us to be.

The journey we have lived out is unique, but not a surprise to God. He gave us each a time period to live in and He picked our mother and father and the place we would be born into. After that, our lives are affected by the circumstances, events, and choices we make, or those choices that were made for us. God knew that the enemy would be waging war against us from the very beginning in an effort to keep us from being exactly who He created us to be. I do not think that we stop to really think about how it all plays into our identity. We have been tremendously influenced by our experiences and the people that come in and out of our lives. We absorb, we learn and we grow into becoming the person we are RIGHT NOW. We all think differently and it is all part of God’s design. He gives each of us different choices, thoughts, and decisions to be made as we journey through our life. We are His creations uniquely made to accomplish something for His Kingdom and for His Glory! We are not here by accident. We have all been strategically placed, by our creator, to be a part of His master plan.

From the very moment we have life, a spiritual battle takes shape. The enemy begins working and planting seeds throughout our lives with the goal of separating us from Jesus. God has shown me personally some of the seeds of destruction that were planted in my life from very early ages. One thing is very true about this knowledge, no one is exempt from these attacks, and the enemy lies in wait for his devious plans to influence our lives. I did not fully realize that the enemy had plans to steal, kill and destroy my life and relationships all throughout my journey, but many are easier to see when I look back in time. I can put the pieces together in my mind that led to certain decisions, choices, mistakes and so much pain.

As we face each day it is hard to recognize how sometimes the simplest little things can grow and manifest themselves into things that have such a huge impact in our daily lives! Things can show up that we never see coming and all of these things become part of our true identity. How we handle the situations, how we feel, how we behave, how we deal with the conflict and how we ultimately get through it all say so much about who we are today.

God has really driven home the enemies most used weapon in the days and times we live in. Division is his main objective. He wants Division from God, from family, and from friends because he knows he can influence our thoughts and our minds more and more as we become isolated from relationships that were meant to help us, encourage us and empower us to keep going. The enemy truly wants to isolate us from God, and from relationships with others. He wants us in a place where we feel totally alone and then he attacks our minds with a vengeance. He needs us away from the love of God and others so he can destroy us. He sneaks in with tiny seeds of discord that get watered and fueled, sometimes over years of our lives, as he patiently waits for them to explode into moments of turmoil, and division.

Every single one of us desires to be loved, to feel important, and to be connected in relationships. We all desire the freedom to have our own opinions and make choices and the Bible tells us that we all are born with a purpose, or a dream inside us.

As we journey through our lives, pieces of that dream may be revealed and start to take shape, but the enemy amps up the battle to keep us from achieving any of that part of it. He does not want us to be who God created us to be. So it is a very real spiritual battle that we can not see, but we know is taking place and plays a part of who we are and why we are here.

Division grows in ways we really don’t recognize until it all starts to come to light at the very same time. We can think back to ask why and when did it start, and very often, we will see patterns that started in our lives from years and years before they turn into the trial we face today. Each tiny seed was planted and watered little by little through our journey and became more and more of who we are and how we think about things now.

In my heart I know that God is in control and that those very same seeds are being used by Him to shape me into the person He wants me to be. He wants me to have learned from those experiences, grow and mature and learn to fight those things that try so hard to divide me from the purpose He has for me. He wants me to recognize the things that I have went through and see that He never left me, even if He did allow me to go through the trials, the hurt and the pain, He was always there. I can look back and see storms that I was sure I would never endure and yet through God’s help and provision I am still here, going strong, facing extremely difficult storms ahead, but with a real knowledge in my heart that God has a purpose for the storm and that He will be right by my side.

God is always working, even when I can not see it with my natural eyes. The pieces of the puzzle come together little by little. Sadly, I do know some of the storms could have been avoided if I had made better or different decisions along the way. I unknowingly fed the seeds with my mistakes and my choices. The really good news is everything can be used by God for good, so even when I mess things up, He can still forgive me and set my feet back onto the right path. I have prayed and prayed for wisdom and discernment and I know in my heart He is revealing both things in my life. I know He has great plans for me and for Uniquely Constructed even though I don’t know what those plans are yet.

I know that I sense a peace that only God Himself could possibly give me during this season of my life, and I am believing and trusting Him for all things to be accomplished in His Perfect Timing! I do not know the future but I absolutely do know who holds my future in His hands!

Thank you Lord for Uniquely Constructing me for this exact moment in time. Direct my steps, give me wisdom and discernment to follow your Holy Spirit to becoming all that you created me to be! In Jesus name I pray, ask, believe and thank you in advance for the answers! And God I ask you to use these words to help others as they journey through their own lives and that they all may be filled with an awesome realization that they are truly Uniquely Constructed by You! In Jesus name, let it be! Amen
